Hey gang!
I'm a newbie on the explorer forum but I'm on quite a few forums! currently the Michigan chapter president at Cumminsforum.com, and spend too much time on competitiondiesel.com, plowsite.com, tractorbynet.com etc...

I'm a pretty hardcore dodge guy with my 1990 W250, 2001 W2500, 2005 W3500 SRW, and a 2006 W2500 all Cummins (w stands for 4x4). I currently have a 18mo old little girl and the mrs outgrew her grand am so we picked up a 2011 Ford Explorer XLT in February with 5K miles on it :D Leather and all the good stuff! The wife loves it and I dont mind driving it!

a few photos!

hers the day we bought it from Midland Ford in Midland, MI

Sweet Cummins man! I'll have to hit you up if i ever get a mega cab that I've been dreaming about.

Are those blacked out H2 rims?

I love your Ex, my uncle has the same style and it feels like a presidential luxury ride!

thanks guys! I'm still on the hunt for a base or xlt grille to paint to match. And I might powdercoat the rims but its up to the Mrs. I'll plasti-dip them and see if she likes it or not.

We like the ride as well! pretty smooth for a SUV! the wife had to have a sunroof and leather! I found it a couple hours away with all the options we wanted! The AWD is a must here in Michigan and the sync is pretty cool!

Thanks!! yeah the megacab is a hot item, especially the 06-07 5.9's Id go for one but I need a long bed Crew cab next. You've got a good eye they are H2's powdercoated black. I've got a set of gray dodge center caps on them at the moment.

here is a vid of my 2001. It didnt run as well as I would have liked since I am having a issue with defueling and low fuel pressure out of the airdog pump. The white chevy is a twin turbo P-pump 24V cummins, the navy truck is a twin turbo monster VP truck.

vp monster pump, head off a 2006, ported and polished, DTT trans, detroit locker, snow water meth, F1 springs & titanium keepers, and a few other things :D

do you recommend the 5.9 over the 6.7? i was looking at 07.5-08's but will change my search if needed

I prefer the 5.9's but the 6.7 isnt bad, you just have to tear all the emission crap off to get the mileage and reliability back. Once you have done that they are pretty powerful. just takes a little more than a grand to get started. Another bonus is you can get EFI life for the 06+ trucks
