New guy with old questions....

I have a 99 302 AWD Limited. After doing a search, I came up with a few answers, but a couple questions also.

I want to put 32's, maybe 33's on it for some minor wheeling. Looks like a TT to add 1.75" to the front. Hopefully I'll have "D" or better torsion bars. If I have to buy them, I'm assuming I might as well get the "B" bars?

I'm not sure if I should go 2" or 3" body lift. It seems as if guys are using the Ranger kit as one is not made for the Explorer?

My biggest problem is the rear. It already sits lower than the front. Always has. I'm not sure an add-a-leaf alone will level the rear up to the front. I already have a 4 door so those springs aren't the answer.

Anybody wanna chime in?

Possibly longer shackles.

WAR153 is the part number for the shackles (made by warrior). Most guys get them from desertrat.com. They run about 60 or so.

I would bet you have the stiffer torsion bar as your setup is similar to mine. I am assuming you have the tow package as well. I wouldnt change the torsion bars anyway. Do you have the load leveling system in the back?

Load leveling as in on-board compressor? No, didn't even know that was an option. From all the posts I've been reading, it seems as if I have the "B" bars already. The thing bothering me is the rear is about an inch lower than the front. Always been that way.

I'll do the rear first. Spring, then shackle if necessary. That way I'll just follow along with the front.

I've been noticing the raised spindles. Good idea or no?

You dont need an onboard compressor, although that would be nice
my truck has huge sag in the back, because I have used it for heavy loading.
its been a working truck most of its life. I just bought some air shocks from napa (you can shop around). mounted the shraider Valve through the extra hole in the bottom of my rear plate so i didnt have to reach under to fill.

You just fill up at a gas station, or some keep a little dc compressor in the back any way. Long as itcan push like 65 psi your good, not much air volume required. Once their filled they stay that way till you release air.

Its really Not the smoothest riding of leveling options, due to the new load capabilty of your truck. But if you were going to use an aal you must not be conserned about the ride.
