im not a ford guy but i do use alot of FORD stuff on my hunk a junk. neways i drive a an 87jeep yj. im in process of swaping a 5L from 90's mustang.and now this is for you guys. is that a diffrence from a c4 from and car and truck ??? can i use both in my heep ?? and yes i do kno there is a 2wd and 4wd...is that a big problem ?? can i use either one ??? also i'll be adapting to my np231 which already does have a SYE e-mail me w/ any info

wow good questions, welcome.

I am no C4 expert so I cannot help,but I will take a stab at it:
if your 5.0L came from a Stang there is no reason the car C4 wont work.
However
If you want to use a T case however you will need the output shaft and tailhousing for the 4x4 version of the C4.

Not sure what T cases can be bolted to the stock C4 housing, check with Advance Adapters to see all options.

410fortune: if i where to get a c4 from a car would it make more sense juss to get one out of a 4x4 for the output shaft and tailhousing ?? i've look at AA and there is an adapter. but anyone i'll post sum progess pics when it begins !!
