Hey I’m new here. I’m from Minnesota and I’m joining to try and solve a water/mold problem with my 2020 Explorer. Hoping y’all have some good ideas for fixing the issue. The dealership claimed the AC condenser froze up and dumped a bunch of water into the floor mats and charged quite a bit to replace a seal back there, which did not solve the problem.

Welcome to the Forum.
Did you take it back to the dealership to let them know the problem is not fixed?

No. I felt a bit ****ed over by them. I’m worried they’ll charge me even more to not fix the problem.

clogged sunroof drains are a common problem. also, trim at bottom of windshield not fully seated after getting pulled for a battery change. Lastly, leaves collect behind wheel well shield and block drainage.

Heater core leaking?

Check your heater core.

Ya to these. I have water in the passenger side (front footwell) after rains. Need to look into this today.

To check the wheel well area, is this like, pull the wheel out and any plastic and it is back there? or check after removing the windshield cowl?

It's on the driver's side wheel well, behind the wheel. Yes, remove the splash shield at the rear of the wheel well and check for leaves/debris.
