New here with a 99 Explorer

Came across a super good deal on this Explorer but picked it up for $300bucks....I knew it was going to need sum work with ALOT of detailing....

So far ive put new brakes all the way around plus had to replace the windshield.I also just tinted the front windows 20%

Anyways does anybody know how hard it will be to fix the latch that lets the front seat lay back?It is broke off

Plus it has power seats for raising/lowering and siding foward/back but it is starting to act up Anybody know whats the cheapest way to fix the seat?

TSB for the recliner lever follows. Get the bracket at a wrecking yard, weld the old one or purchase new - pricey. Took about 20 minutes to replace mine.

MERCURY: 1997-1999 MOUNTAINEER

ISSUE
The front seat back recliner lever may become bent
on Sport seats. This condition generally occurs
when the customer puts weight on the lever upon
entering/exiting the vehicle.

ACTION
Replace the seat back lever with a more robust
lever design that has an added rib and flange to
reduce the possibility of bending. Refer to the
appropriate Explorer/Mountaineer Workshop Manual,
Section 501-10 for installation details.
