What’s up guys, been debating on modifying my 99 2wd 5.0 explorer ever since I got it as a DD last year. Finally pulled the trigger on doing it after replacing the lower controls arms/shocks yesterday. It riding like new inspired me to take some attention away from my Mustang and look into getting some wheels for it/lowering it. Sorta give it a sport truck/XP8 kind of vibe.. Maybe throw some performance parts at it?.. This place has tons of info on 2nd gens and I hope I can contribute with a nice explorer build by the end of it. Don’t have many pics but here’s one of when I leaned a 96 cobra wheel on it. Was in the process of 5 lug swapping the fox so I figured why not roll this thing over to the explorer and snap a pic. This car was originally going to be used as a donor for another Mustang but it’s a bit too nice to take apart. Just hit 100k last week.

87-93 foxbodies! Would love to start another fox build but man are they expensive here in Cali

That’s a nice rig! Hard to find low mileage v8 anymore

You can convert that sticker to 4wd or awd anytime you wish it has the provisions for a front diff

They are very tough and useful
The gt40 5.0 and 4r70w were even used in 3/4 ton trucks so basically you have a 3/4 ton suv
