I have never changed anything audio related before. I purchased a stock sub enclosure from edman1000 with stock amp and 8" sub. Here is a link to a pic of it.

I am now purchasing a JVC HU and would like to know everything that I need in order to make the HU, amp and sub work well together. Sine there has never been a sub/amp in the back before I am sure that there are no wires run. I have seen that there are kits which have the 16? wire plug that will plug directly to the stock amp. Is this the best choice? Am I correct in assuming that I will still need to run power back from the battery? Basically I would love to have someone look at the equipment I have and help me with a materials and equipment list so that I can get everything at once to do the job from HU install, battery back power, HU to factory amp hook up.
Here is a link to the HU I am getting:

I appreciate any help you can offer. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that price is a factor. It has to sound better, but not perfect.

Save the headaches. Just ditch the OEM amp, buy an aftermarket amp for the sub, run new wiring to door speakers from the head unit, and RCA cables from the head unit to sub amp. You'll still need the items for a typical amp install.
