I am a new member of the forum located in Rolla, MO. I have a bone stock '98 XLT 2wd 4 door with a 4.0L auto w/OD.
It is almost mint inside and out but has been sitting unstarted since '07 when the transmission went out. I can get it to turn over but not to run yet. I am hoping to find some help with trouble shooting it and getting it to run and to find advice on DIY trans replacement/rebuild. Basically just wanting to get it on the road, (maybe offroad
), sometime in the near future on an extremely tight budget.
I do have a full garage of tools and am mechanically inclined. Thought of maybe finding a rolled 4wd on CL and doing a swap or maybe just switching to a manual.
Anyway look forward to doing something with it!
