new member, 97 explorer from aust

Hi peoples. I bought a 97 explorer withthe sohc engine last week purely for its sleek look but the very next day i noticed a water leak from the thermostat housing which ive now replaced. The car also has a shudder ( research is telling me its the motorbin the transfer case) no biggie but im also hearing so much about hiwbunreliable these cars are so im keen to hear from enthusiasts about some good stuff? Or will i just be working on it every weekend? Id love to do it up and enjoy it its great to drive and looks the part...

..Welcome here...

..These vehicles are reliable but like any machine will require maintenance...We have several mambers from down under who do up their vehicles and we don't hear of many problems from them..
