Hey All!!
Glad to be able to join this forum! I have been a dedicated Ford owner for quite some time.
I test drove and agreed to buy a 2000 Explorer knowing it had a few minor issues.
The main one, I am hoping to get some insight on. My Expedition that I owned did the same exact thing and I remember my mechanic friend being able to fix it in the parking lot.
The previous owner was meticulous with maintenance and had an overall tuneup done with all the fluids flushed and changed in June. Shortly after, she noticed that the rig started having difficulty going into reverse. Drove fine in all other gears, just reverse.
When I had this problem before I remember it being a pin? or something with the gear shift, not the transmission. Am I remembering this correctly?
