Hi all, have just signed up not long ago after finding this forum. Am rapt to find a Explorer only site amongst every thing else. Took a while to post on here as we've just returned from an interstate trip by car and caravan. We used old faithful (he's a 98' UP Explorer Limited) yet again to get us there and back towing our 1.5 tonne pop top. Actually old faithful's real name is Kermit (cos he's green) He averaged 6.23 Kilometres per litre of fuel in all conditions over nearly 4000 ks.
Only drama we had was with the shift motor(dirty contacts) that stopped us for a day as well as the levelling compressor went berserk for a while.
As for me I'm a FORD FAN through and through, cut me and I bleed BLUE! Have a small collection of other fords (down to about 6 I think at the moment. lol.
Hope to learn more about my favourite SUV on this site.
