2002 ford explorer
Hello all my name is Caleb and I am thee new owner of a 2002 explorer in Orlando Florida. I bought the explorer from my step dad who is the original owner and it is also the car I learned to drive on growing up. I love the truck and my main interests are off roading (even though it is 2wd:( ) but also it is my daily driver so a 6 inch lift with 35s will never be the path for me. My goal is to get some good 33' all terrains on it and have some fun on weekends and use it to get to and from work and school during the week. I do have a few concerns about the truck that I'm sure I can search around and find threads on. What I was unable to find a thread on was anyone who could recommend shops in the area. The breaks squeak pretty bad at a certain pressure and with pads being brand new I'm worried about the rotors. I don't need a ford specific shop, just someone trust worthy if you k ow of anyone. If not I look forward to being a member and contributing to te explorer community!

Hey man! Good to see another FL guy here! I'm up in Jax, so I have no clue about shops near you, but I know there are a couple guys in Orlando that are on this forum...not sure how to find them though. There might be some way to search by location using the search tools, but I've never tried. Good luck though, I know there's gotta be some good shops down there. Orlando is big!

Welcom to the site! I am in St Augustine and go to Orlando often. I do not know of any good shops tho, I dont let other ppl play with my toys :D

Thanks for all the input especially from the Florida boys!!! I found a great shop in Orlando (probably the best I have ever been to actually) and everything turned out fine. Usually no one would touch my toys either by the brakes were squawking and the company that made my pads warranties them but requires going to a shop so I had them handle that. Glad to be a member and look forward to doing my best to contribute!
