New Member Intro

My name is Desirae, I am 21 from South Jersey. First time Ford owner, 1994 Explorer XLT 4×4 named Betty Rotten. I'm a Chevy girl with a soft spot for OBS Ford Trucks and some v8 Mustangs. I'm learning how to work on Miss Betty Rotten on my own, and have already learned a few things from this site - like running and deciphering OBD1 trouble codes using a paperclip. I am currently stuck with recurring codes KOEO 172 and 176 (o2 sensors, running lean). I'm going to further explain her symptoms in another thread, hopefully someone will be able to point me in the right direction.

Welcome to this forum! O2 sensors go bad after a while so it's possible that they are bad unless there's really a lean condition (leaking intake manifold or broken vacuum lines).

I did have to replace the vac line connected to the intake when I first got the truck, I completely forgot about that until I read your reply! Thank you!
