Hello everyone,
This is my second post on this forum and I thought I would properly introduce myself.
I am a new proud owner of a 2000 Mercury Mountaineer with AWD 5.0 V8 black/tan leather interior. It's not in the greatest shape in the world and needs some fixing here and there but I got an amazing deal on this thing and am very happy with it.
It needs things like new Dome light bulbs, drivers side puddle light bulb, couple scratches repaired, The rear hutch door and left rear door both don't like to open randomly and the handle feels stretched on the left rear door while the hutch door feels like the handle isnt catching so I need to tear into them both. The light on the radio doesn't work however the radio is fully functioning but its not a problem because I'm replacing it with an aftermarket soon. Leather has your typical florida wrinkle as to be expected and carpets have a stain here or there. NOT huge problems but not small problems either, however I would much rather it be interior/exterior issues rather than engine problems.
Still in the process of evaluating overall what I'm going to do to this truck, I want to put a bit of lift on it but I don't want to make the gas mileage too much less than it already is. Took off the V8 emblems today as well as trying to decide the best way to remove the gold pin stripe decal going down both sides (it's messed up in some areas so it looks trashy)
