New Member/Noise

I just got a 2004 4dr 2wd explorer with 48,000 miles on it.. in the beginning it was running fine.. but recently i started noticing that everytime i start it.. it has a ticking noise.. it sounds like its right behind the front left tire.. after you drive for a while.. you dont hear it?? Normal?? or need to be worried?

Welcome To Explorer Forum! It sounds like a lifter issue. Nothing to worry about IMO. It is not until it is super loud and all the time you should be worried.

Welcome to this forum! Use a thicker oil to see if the sound gets lower. You might be a little low on oil which could cause it to make noise.
