2023 Explorer Limited RWD
Hello out there in Explorer land - new member with a 2023 Explorer Limited RWD with 360 Degree camera system. After comparing my Explorer to a friend's Explorer I realized I didn't have the button/switch to the right of the Emergency Flasher switch to activate the front camera (which is in my front grille under the "Ford" emblem). The dealer said my sticker has the $500 360-Degree Camera Credit (I looked - it does), so they won't install a switch. I wish I would have known what this credit was for when I bought the vehicle - my fault. Anyway, is it possible to purchase the switch, install it, and have the camera work correctly? I've done similar things to other vehicles and everything always worked. Thoughts?
Does anyone have any suggestions on where to purchase the switch other than the dealership? Thanks in advance - be safe out there!

If you have the optional technology package, the button is on the touch screen under the camera view.

Thank you, TBill. I wish I had the OTP but don't.

I'm guessing that you would need more than just a switch. The camera setup/software would have to be capable of rendering a 360-degree view.
For those who received the credit, the vehicle may just be equipped with a regular front-view camera only.

Thank you, Peter, for the welcome. The sensors work 360 degrees, and the backup camera works fine, I just can't access the front camera that is already installed in the grill. I would be willing to pay for a switch, install it, and see what is involved in getting it to work. Only one way to find out I guess. Thanks for your suggestions.

I too have a '23 Limited, which I ordered and was built with the 360 Camera Delete credit. I too appear to have a front camera. I had a front camera on my previous Explorer, and while a nice feature I rarely used it, primarily for pulling into my garage to sneak up to the junk in front of my vehicle. The front sensor will give you an adequate warning without having to reach for the button. Can't say I'm disappointed in no side cameras as they are more distracting than their perceived safety value.

My 2023 Aviator has the 360-degree camera. The only deleted item was the hands-free liftgate which was a huge disappointment. I use the front camera quite often when pulling into a parking spot in order to see the painted lines.
