Just joined the post! I have a '96 XLT with 211,000 miles. Been a real workhorse. I have the V-8 with rear wheel drive, automatic transmission.

Tranny seems to lose some fluid and sometimes chatters/rumbles going into high gear azround 50 mph. A friend told me it was probably the Vacuum modulator...so I bought one and for the life of me I can't find where it goes or if it even has one. Some Internet info suggests it's a computer controlled transmission which leads me to believe, no vacuum modulator? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the Help and forum!!

Caretaker,

Thanks for the reply. I was just reviewing that section and found some helpful info...so maybe I won't need to post again unless I get in over my head.
