Joined this forum to see if anyone can help me with a problem I'm having with my '02 Explorer. It takes 2-4 tries to start it up. If it's warmed up and been running for a while and I shut it off it will sometimes start right back up, but even if I shut it off long enough to run in to a gas station and buy a soda, I'll have to crank it more than once. I'm thinking fuel filter. Any other ideas?

Welcome to this forum! Do you have any engine codes, vacuum leaks, rough idle or stalling? Did you ever replace the spark plugs & cables?

No stalling or rough idling, and no, I haven't changed the spark plugs or wires. Once it's running it runs just fine.
