2010 Explorer XLT
Googled my coolant leaking problem and this forum came up as a result. I bought a silver 2010 Explorer XLT 4x4 in July 2017. It has a black leather interior and only had 60,000 miles. It now has 66,000 and my coolant level dropped to a point the fan was spinning at low speeds. I saw coolant on the manifold and noticed a plastic thermostat housing. I took it to the dealership and they confirmed my suspicions after a pressure test. They quoted me $750+ to flush and change fluid and replace the housing. I watched a youtube video and felt that I could do it myself but wanted a metal housing. I bought one online and it will be here in a few days. At that time I hope I can install it.

Good call on doing it yourself. That will save you a lot of money.
