Just replaced motor with a freshy fresh reman from usa engines in cali. Since the swap (paid a shop to do the swap) i am having coolant issues. The motor is somehow sucking the coolant into the cranck case but not getting any oil in my cooling system. And i think the coolant in the oil is causing my oil pressure issues. At idle in drive at a stop the oil pressure gauge wacks out and has now spun itself all the way around. Fun.
The reman company is useless. Dont really want to talk about that.
Is it possible that the new water pump could be leaking coolant into the oil pan? Any other ideas?

If you have a significant amount of coolant in the crankcase the main bearings are already gone -- which is probably the reason for your low oil pressure. Figuring out how the coolant got there may only help you determine if this was a bad reman or the installer did something wrong (which is much less likely). Can't think how a water pump could cause something like this, though. Did you buy a short or a long block?

This was a long block. USA engines doesn't want to foot the bill for the shop to remove the engine again and re-install. They said they would be happy to repair the motor or replace it but I'm on the hook for the labor. I don't want to dig into this thing on my own. Not that I can't, I just really don't want to. Really, really, don't want to. And the oil pressure issue occurred from the first moment the truck was started. It can't have gone bad that fast.
