New Owner Questions

Hello All,

I just got my hands on an 2007 Sport Trac LTD 4.6 4x4

There is a no button to the left of the Pedal Adjustment button and there is no button next to the Media button on the steering wheel. What would go in these places? Sync and back up sensors?

Also I'm hearing not so great things about the 1-2 shift on these transmissions. Can someone explain or point me to a thread that explains what's going on with the 6spd trans?

I just got my Sport Trac as well but I test drove several in my search and buying process. I'm not familiar with the button to the left of the pedal controls as I don't have them on my vehicle but on the steering wheel its the voice command button.

On the center console the Left blank is for memory seats.
The wheel, i have on top Sync buttons, left is Voice, right is source?
backup sensors is actually in the message center.

On the wheel mine says Media, but it figures the missing button would be Sync or Voice for the Navigation if I had navi.

Where on the center console are you talking about? Mine reads (from left to right) Info, Setup, Reset, AdvTrac, Auto 4x4, HI 4x4, LOW 4x4

I have a missing button between the heated seat buttons on the lower right, but that would have been the optional heated windsheild.

As for my second question, the trans, can you point me in the right direction?
