New pilot remote control fog lights

Do you just have the remote for the fog lights in the vehical or do you have it on your keychain? I've killed my battery a few times on a older vehical, hitting the button when the keys are in my pocket and not knowing that I did. Come out after work dead battery.

I just keep it on my keys I havent had any problems with them turning on while i had the keys in my pocket, just lucky I guess.

Anyone look at their lights once you put the higher wattage bulbs in? one side of mine (location under the bulb short ways) turned like a yellow color. I dont know if this is normal..I doubt it but is it enought to worry about? I now put the PIAA 100w Xenon bulbs in them.

sounds like trouble to me ,if the yellow is it starting to burn I would swap them out for some silver stars maybe?

What wattage are the silverstars and how much are they and where can I buy them?

Any auto parts store and you'll prob pay $20 a bulb, and dont know the wattage but u can search this forum and find many pics of the bulb lit up.

the h3 silverstars are 19.99 a bulb at autozone and are 55w with the appearance of 85w bulbs.

I know this isn't part of this forum and I'm sorry but does anyone know where I can find the Silverstars for the headlights of a 94 explorer.. Price included please

Edit - Thanks Thewish for the price and where to get the lights

autozone, and I believe pep boys you need 9004 bulbs for the headlights and the prices vary but are usually $19.99 a bulb aswell they make a big difference I had silverstars before then I put in eurodezigns green bulbs and i got bored of them and went back to the silver stars.

there is a coupon on this last sunday pepboys... after rebate is $25 for A PAIR.

One point on mounting fog and driving lights. Fogs should be mounted as low and as far apart as possible, driving lights should be the opposite, eg. ag high and as close together as possible. This said I know we have to mount em where we can...

just for fun i put 100 watt h3's in my pilot wallyworld special aftermarket foggies and melted the plastic reflector base so bad it had a hole in it....unless you only have em on while in motion, be VERY careful of doing this, or else you'll end up with a car fire. just some advice from the 'burned', no pun intended.
