dealer installed new update...

now 2days later every time i start my car the audio is "off" i have to turn it back on (not a big deal) but the problem is that sometimes i cant get it to turn on. i press the "on" button on the screen it depresses on the screen but nothing happens, same if i use the physical on in the volume control.

if i turn of the car open a door (so the screen turns off) it will usually work the next time.

Any Ideas or is MFT just a lost cause?

Hate to say this......but try a master reboot or fuse pull. After the dealer updated me to 3.5.1, I was having problems as well, a fuse pull helped with many, but not all.

I have this problem as well although it started the day I took it in for the 3.5 update. After the update, it seemed fine for a day or two (welcome to my MFT I guess). Then one day I get in the car, and the volume is so low. I can't bring it up using the button on the steering wheel nor the knob. But I keep trying. Get to Starbucks, turn the car off, get back in, and the volume is BLARING, thought I'd ruin the speakers!!!! Then I could adjust, driving back home, get the infamous BLACK SCREEN OF DEATH and the system reboots, this is with MFT 3.5 update mind you.

I haven't the black screen of death since then but I will get in the car and the audio is off. I didn't turn it off. Can't turn it on either from the MFT screen.

But I can press the button on the steering wheel and say Sirius or Radio, and it will turn on.

Guess it's one of the quirks......
