I'm about ready to replace the shocks on my stock 1996 XLT 4.0 OHV. A friend recommended the Trailmasters but I would like input from those of you who have done this before. I am looking for the best possible road ride. I do some off-road but only when I'm hunting and I never take this X into hazardous territory. I had RS9000's on my Cherokee and liked them but the Cherokee's ride was so bad it was hard to tell if they offered much improvement. I want smooth but firm. I've read some about the new Edlebrock's and they seem interesting. What say you? Any other mod's I should consider when replacing the shocks?

I drive on the street only with an occasional venture on dirt roads at the ranch and I run Edelbrock ISA shocks and really like them. The ride is a bit harsher but the control far outweighs the decline in ride quality.

I recommend them highly.
