New purchase of 2003 XLS HELP...

I've just put a deposit on a 2003 XLS.. My first Ford.. This SUV needs new tires and I'm looking for recomendations. I will be highway driving mostly, but would like all weather tires that have good traction in snow, good performance and wear.

I'm also having the dealer replace the class 2 receiver with a class 3. Any problems towing a 3500 lb boat and trailer with this SUV?

I would recommend Michilin's LTX M/S tires - well worth the money

That will be fine. Explorers are rated to tow about 5000 lb.

I would also recommend installing an extra transmission cooler, Ford doesn't even install those on the explorers equipt with the towing package.
