2023 Explorer Limited 4WD
I just purchased a 2023 Ford Explorer 4WD with the 2.3L EcoBoost. It has 39k miles on it. It was previously a rental vehicle, but had a great carfax report, so I pulled the trigger. Do any of yall have reference for a good inspection sheet of things to check and look at as the new owner of this ride? Fluids, belts, joints, anything maintenance wise that I can be aware of to keep my new (to me) ride in tip top shape. Also, if yall have any pointers as to what these SUVs like and don't like as a daily driver.

Thanks yall, I'm glad to be apart of this forum.

2023 should be a great, reliable year. Not a whole lot to check for you IMHO. I personally would change drivetrain oils around 50k miles. Otherwise, enjoy it!

Not sure about the Explorer specifically, but as with most, check your fluids and keep them in good shape. My udnerstanding is the 2.3 is DI so perhaps a carbon cleaning wouldnt hurt every 50k or so

Welcome to the Forum.
Several members have suggested changing the PTU fluid every 30k miles.
