new speakers

my speakers kinda blow.

im gonna try to get some ones on ebay.

what size do i need, and whats all involved with this.

6X8" speakers....
5X7" will fit too.

it's easy to replace the speakers.
just remove the door panel, unscrew the old speaker and disconnect it. then connect the new one and instsall it.
only takes a few minutes on each door.

You should have a speaker in each door, if a 4 door. There should be 4 speakers.

I would use a 6 x 8 replacement.

yeah i have 4 door. ok sounds good, i plan on getting some on ebay, but is there any brand i should look out for or anything?

i have taken the speaker out before on the door, are all connectors the same, or do i just need to do a little wire splicing.

since you are just powering them with the headunit, i recommend the Kenwood Excelon speakers. polk speakers are also very good.

I like Pioneer 3 way for the front foors and Pioneer 2 way or the stock ones if still good for the rear.

i found some 6x8s that fit in the 5x7 hole, on ebay, they are clarion's. a set is $49.99

is that a good price? im not looking to make a bad ass sound system, just something that doesnt buzz when it hits a big note like now.

To tell if the speakers are "good" for YOU, you need to go to a stereo store and listen to them and compare them to others.

After all, its YIOU who will be listenening to them.

is it the clarion 5X7/6X8 plate?
if so, then that is a great deal. they usually sell for $150++
clarion is a well respected brand.

yeah i knew its a good brand, i may get them.

just try out 2 front ones for now, and get other later. will it matter if the rear are a different brand?

Stay away from Thump and Pyramid. They are crap.

dont go for Thump, Pyramid, Pyle, Legacy, etc....
they are really cheap crap. dont believe the power ratings on them either (600w, 200w, etc... they would FRY )

stick to the quality brands.

the front stage is most important, so if you only buy one pair, use them in the front doors.

Yeah if any amp says something like 600 watts but then only says you need a 15 amp fuse don't even bother.

well i didnt know in time, and i wont them for $22.
I wont be turning the music too loud, i just want better speakers. Im gonna put these in the back doors, and get clarions for the front.

I went with aldives idea, pioneer 3 ways for the front and 2 ways with the back. Your gonna spend a little xtra, but its well worth it
