2002 Ford Sport Trac 4x4
Hello,

I just picked up a 2002 Sport Trac 4x4 with 90k miles, and love it! My daily driver for the past 5 years has been a modified 2000 Ford Mustang GT 5 speed. As you can imagine, this isn't too great in the snow, so I've owned my fair share of beater trucks for the winter.
Well the time has come for me to sell my mustang and find something a little more family friendly. My wife and I do a lot of recreational activities such as kayaking, but seldom haul large items. The sport trac seems to fit my lifestyle perfectly. If any one has first hand experience hauling kayaks, please let me know your setup!

Congrats and welcome to the site.

Welcome to the site. First couple things you'll wanna change if their not already done are the shocks, swaybar endlinks, and those Wrangler's. These little things make a world of difference in ride and handling and cheap to do.

Congrats and welcome to the forum.

There are a couple people that have shown ways of hauling kayaks and canoes. I don't remember right off who they were, but the threads are around here somewhere. I'd just search for kayak.

welcome! you will love your ST, it is the perfect vehicle if you are an outdoor activity person. i use mine for camping, and to haul around my bikes, and other sports gear. i have seen plenty of kayak racks on craigslist for less than half the price of a new one. you will still need to get some crossbars. i found a great set on ebay for just 50 bucks that i use on my rig. go to the ST forum 01-05 and look for the thread that says "crossbars" for the link.

welcome and nice rides u got
