New Sub

Okay SO after my gain mysteriously being outta wack, my sub blew and need to replace it, don't know how long it'll take, but I've narrowed it down a bit, but before I tell you.

I've got a Kenwood KAC-7202 pushing 460W bridged @4 ohms

Which sub would be better,

so the vega is a 12" and the jl a 15"?

Define better? What did you have before? Were you happy with it before it blew? Are you running sealed or ported? You can't really compare a 12 to a 15.

I just got a JL sub and an amp & wiring kit from OCS and couldn't be happier with their service... Just thought I'd pass it on!

i find JL to be overpriced average subs, i'd suggest Fi car audio, Audioque, DC audio something with better quality.

Maybe better in quality, but Don't really know the poducts, and none around here. I also am on a budget

Do you plan on running your amp bridged with one sub? If so, I suggest a 2ohm dual voice coil sub.

Wired like this to present the 4ohm load...

If I go with either of the Vega I plan to crap that JL is a single 4ohm, I'll have to see, but I'm kinda leaning more and more to the first Vega. Anyone got suggestions?
