i installed a thrush turbo saturday for about 30 bucks including clamps, adapters, and the muffler itself. i think it sounds really good for a 20 dollar muffler on a v6. but its not as loud as i hoped. what im asking is will it break in and get louder over time?

You might want to look into getting larger diameter tubing from the cats to the muffler and then the tail pipe as well. I am currently in the process. I have my muffler, it is a FLOPRO, but I do not have the money to take it to a muffler shop and get the rest made and installed. Search around, plenty of info.

yeah let see pics and do a sound clip too.

i have searched. im leaving it like this (dumped) only until christmas or so till i have a custom cat-back made (money permitting). if somebody can tell me how to post a sound clip ill make it. i just want to know if it will get louder

From what I have heard, dumped is not a good idea. If you truck is lifted you might be able to get away with it, but it causes lots of heat build up under your truck which is bad for performance and safety. Check my thread on Premade catback Vs. Custom made, lots of info in it from some of the most knowledgable members of the site.
