I recently moved to the baltimore area, Essex to be specific. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good place to get an exhaust done? Also, any good junk yards, parts stores or any other useful information would be very helpful. Outside to the usual autoparts stores, I have no other knowledge of good places in the area. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

It is a bit south for you but Maryland Muffeler in Gambrills Maryland does an amazing job.
Maryland route 3 and 175.

There is a pretty cool autobody shop down the street from there too ;)

I will look into it for sure. Is that where you got your cat back done? If so, any idea of what the price might be?

With gas prices, I am trying to put the rush on my plans for my truck haha. Well atleast the mods that will improve my mileage.

Hopefully I am not in need of an autobody shop anytime soon, but I know where to go if I am ;).

Thanks for the info, I really appreciate it.

That body shop wouldn't be the daytime hangout for Zorro and a certain guy that fixes dents, would it? :)

thanks Ben you are the best.

I remember that one time I broke down on the side of 95 you you showed up with gatoraide in hand. It was like 98 degreese that day :(

Raz yeah Maryland muffeler worked on my past four vehicles ( that have had exhaust work ) I cant recall the cost but I am sure he tossed me a business curtacy discount.

For better MPG's a tuner is tough to beat.
I use Doug over at Bamachips.com Tell him Kevin from EF sent ya.

Atleast that was an easy repair.. Thank god you didn't crack the block.

I will look into them for sure. With gas prices how they are, I am trying to do everything I can to eak out every bit I can.
I have been interested in getting a tuner for my truck for awhile now, I am just not entirly sure what all is involved in the process. I have seen various products that offer all kinds of adjustments, but I still dont know exactly what I should adjust haha. If I can get a custom tune ready to go that would be great.

My mileage is pretty decent by SUV standards I suppose, if I am very aware of trying to save gas and I am driving mostly hwy I can get around 20. But, having to travel on 695 alot, that goes do to around 15-16. Everyone always wants to race the gold ex sport, not sure why? haha.

Thanks for all the help, I really do appreciate it.
Have a great day

look for Aldive, he has a huge thread on here about MPG's he claims to average 30.
Either way there is a LOT of very useful info on that thread and as you will learn Al througly researches and tests his methods.

Do you know if Maryland Muffler would do an exhaust for me if I already had the muffler I wanted to use? or would they want me to buy it from them? Just checking. I am putting in an order to Summit sometime this week to get some plugs and wires and could throw a muffler on the order while I am at it. Thanks man.

yes they will.
They did that for me and my flowmaster

Ugh.
Do a search and get a ZILLION answers.

I have a Flowmaster SUV 50 ( 2.5 cat back no resonator) and the interrior noise is annoying. Sounds decent out side though.

BTW have you see this thread yet?

Got my plugs and wires today. Apparently, Summit decided to send my stuff 2nd day air for free. Cant complain. I am also going to order a Flo Pro muffler. http://www.flopro.com/FPovalbig.htm The FP736. Its a dual 2.5 inlet and 2.5 outlet muffler. Its like $60 bucks so I am going to give it a try.

OK, my FloPro muffler should be arriving Monday July 21. From there (when I know I have the money) I plan on heading to Maryland Muffler and getting 2.5in from the cats back, leading into my dual in single out 2.5in muffler with a 2.5in tail pipe. Sound good? I know it sounds pretty awesome to me haha
