Hello guys, this seems to be a great forums for those owning a ford explorer. Im 18 and I myself 3 days ago purchased a 92' explorer. Im looking for any kindly advice this is my first ford truck. Im also looking for some websites that have my generation explorer performance parts, and upgrades. Thanks

Welcome to the site... congrats on your purchase... The first generation Explorers are by ver ygood.. Except they have a weak auto tranny.. But can still perform great... Do some surfing for performance upgrades on this site... You will find everything you will ever need.... check out the parent site www.explorer4x4.com there is a whole section on links....

here is the actual page Ford Explorer Ranger Mountaineer Navajo Bronco II Internet Resources

Welcome to the site. If you have the auto have your trans fluid changed ASAP. Then I'd do it at regular intervals after that. These trannies suck. Other than the trans, I love my Ex and would be hard pressed to find something I like better, if they had comparable miles. Also you won't find a better info on Explorers than here. (Thanks Rick ;) ) What are you looking to upgrade ?

Welcome from New York. Great place to learn .:D

Well one good thing you did is purchased a ford no offense to you chevy lovers but yuh know. One thing that u could buy thats cheap is a k and n airfilter it is suppose to increase your horse power 20 % also make sure it has good spark plugs n stuff

20% HP increase with a K&N airfilter? LOL, a bit of an exaggeration there. You might get 3-5 HP out of it if you have an aftermarket intake. Also, plugs and wires are not going to increase your HP, no matter what color they are (points to Honda drivers).
