New to site and 4x's

Hi everybody,
Just want to take a minute to say hello.I have been floating around this site for a little while and decided to get involved.
A little history-I recieved my Explorer as a hand-me-down from my wife when we got her a new car.After some body work and new paint(Thanks Mr. Deer)and a set of 15x8 A.R. Bajas with 31x10.50 Wrangler ATS's(no lift YET!)I had a new daily driver!
As of right now I'm pulling out the tranny(my user name explains what I did to it )so I have some questions about this and the lift I'm planning to get.I will be posting them soon to get your opinions.

Hey Brian, welcome aboard!

Tranny's seem to be the weak point when it comes to Explorers, but once you get passed that they are a great vehicle. How much of a lift are ou thinking about adding and what size tires do you think you might shoot for? Good luck with your mods and the tranny work!

Hi Tim,
Right now my gameplan is to fit 33x12.50 Wrangler MTR's.I'm not really sure about what lift and how much I will need.I am running 31x10.50 ATS's right now but they do rub once in a while on the rear part of the inner fender with the tires at full lock if I hit a dip.
My tranny is an auto that no longer has anything but PARK!(That's what I get for trying to nurse a slipping tranny instead of getting it repaired )Oh well live and learn!
How much I have spend on the tranny will ultimately decide I can spend on my other mods but I hope to have it lifted by the end of the year.

I just noticed where you were from. A couple buddies of mine are from Danville and Dry Fork areas. I have yet to make it down there myself, but imagine I will at some point or another.
