new to the audio aspect

hey every body i have a few questions about sound systems.

my speakers sound like **** from blasting my stock stereo.

is there any way to fix said speakers ar even modify them for higher output?

i also may want to build a decent system. nothing fancy, i just want it to sound good at the factory volume. any ideas and how much it may cost.

as i said before this is not my area of expertise

It sounds like ur stock speaker cones are shot and u need new speakers

the price can range anyware from $50 a pair to like $200
if u go to www.crutchfield.com you can find out the speaker sizes and prices
u can even get decent ones from wal-wart

500 you can possibly get a new hu, and 2 sets of good 6x8's. you will need an amp if you want decent sound off a new HU.

I tried to budget a 500dollar system, and i just ended up with a HU and good quality 6x8's. now i need an amp cuz the 6x8's sound like crap

thanks everybody. i found an alpine amp and two 12"subs for 50 bux. im gonna go for the $150 head unit and some good speakers
