Hello to all!

First timer. Have a 1999 Explorer Sport that needs some work or to be retired. Thought I would do a little research to see what can e done to an "Exploder".

Seems like it could be afun project. For all it's issues, it has been very dependable.

The explorer's can be customized to unbelievable extremes. Be sure to check out the 1995-2001 threads along with the street trucks, under the hood, 4wd forums. Have some fun, and be sure to come back and tell us what you plan on doing with it!

It is 4wd with the noisey, rattling engine syndrome. Sounds like this is somewhat typical. Still researching the threads. It is amazing to me that pushrod noise could be so loud, if that is what it is. At times it sounds more like a piston rod coming through the block. But, it just keeps running.

At any rate, i am getting some ideas.
