I just joined "Serious Explorations" after months of using this site as a reference.

My wife and I both drive vehicles that fall into this groups area of expertise.

I drive a 2001 Ford Explorer SportTrac 4.0 V6 (German made engine - not sure why?)

My wife drives a 2005 Ford Explorer - also the V6 (non-flex).

I am very glad there is a site like this out there - can't wait to contribute in anyway possible.

My engine was not manufactured in the US - it was made in Germany (according to the plate on the engine).
