I have been reading and never posting for some time. Have a heater valve issue, its leaking needing to replace. Here is the funny thing I have 252,700 miles on my XLT and this is the first leak ever! I have to say My explorer have been great! I have lived in MI, AZ, MO and now LA so this truck has been everywhere and all kinds of temps, weather, storms etc! It still get 17-23 miles a gallon, AC blows cold, Heats up in less than 5 mins, 4 wheel drive works and starts everytime. Crazy thing that a plastic part has brought me back to the site to repair.
Question is there an easy way to replace the valve than going thru the passenger wheel well, if so could some please tell me how?
