Hello, I just purchased my '99 Mountaineer about a couple months ago with 82k miles on it. Before this I had a '02 Mustang GT, '94 F150, and '06 Yamaha R6. Got rid of the Mustang, totalled the truck after someone pulled out in front of me, and flipped the bike six times at 70 mph (after hitting an unseen 2x4) on my way to work. I love to work on cars, so feel free to ask questions, though this AWD is a new thing to me. I plan on keeping this for awhile, so I look forward to chatting with you guys/girls soon. Ciao

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your purchase, you picked a great model, the 5.0 awd mounty is a great choice. It was my first choice but I ended up with a 4wd 4.0sohc mounty, still a great truck, but I would much rather have the AOD tranny.
