Have a 92 ford explorer and I am curious as to what the biggest tire i can put under a stock explorer. I believe that the rims that i have now are 15x7's and really want to put super swamper thornbirds on it. Any chance i may be able to get a wide wheel? any lift needed? Thanks. Any info greatly appreciated.

PS Any Vegas Guys around here?

Welcome to the site. Under a stock Explorer I say 31x10.5x15 or 30x9.5x15. I wouldn't recommend getting the Super Swamper Thornbirds, consider a nice AT style tire if its your daily driver or a MT style tire if it isn't. If you wanna go with Super Swampers, I'd recommend the TSL or SX series tire. You should have no issues on a stock rim with no lift to fit the 31s or 30s. But if you wanted to lift your truck, you can do f-150 spacers and shackles or Add a leafs in the rear. Do a search regarding 1st generation lift kits, it'll yield results.

Thanks for the help. But Am i able to use the stock wheel or would i have to buy new? Also alittle help to redirect me to the spacers (thread to show) because completly ne to suspension! Thanks
