1997 Mercury Mountaineer
Doing a bunch of work recently to my 1997 Merc Mountaineer family wagon. Its retired as a family hauler and I use it as my utility vehicle. Was going to sell it but I'm having so much fun fixing it up, maybe I'll just keep it.

So far I've:

-Replaced Radiator, water pump, thermostat, hoses, serpentine belt.

In progress:
-Got replacement seat from a donor car to fix my broken lower seat back and air/lumbar as well as the recline adjustment as my old seat back recline handle was broken off.

-Replace mangled speed control pods

-Replace dash lights and interior lights

-fix lock switch on driver side

-New struts

-New brakes and rotors

-New plugs and maybe new wires

-If I get really ambitious I may replace the exhaust manifolds or at least the one that has the slight leak

Not much work:eek:

Hopefully I will get a few ideas here.

Regards,
Alan

Do you carry the speed control pods for 1997 mountaineer or ford explorer?

I put my salvage ones on today and no luck. They look good but do not work. My old broken down ones looked like crap but worked.

We will look into this with our supplier and have an answer for you tomorrow.

Thanks for the inquiry, its feedback like this that help us carry parts that matter.

Thanks again!

Sent you a Private Message on the details of this part.

I as well need this part replaced on my 2001 XLT.
