welcome to the site.... there isnt too much available.... you most liekly will need a 4" kit made for the 4x4s for your year, there are slight differences but i beleive that the lift for the 4x4 will work... i am sure others will confirm this.....

unless you want to do a bodylift... that would allow bigger tires.....

I would go with the body lift for your type of application. It'll be a lot easier, less money, and less of a hassle. You will probably only be able to run 32s with the 3" body lift -- but they'll still look good. Get some Interco SSRs and they'll look like 33s. A lot of people mistaken my 33's for 35s-36's. The Interco SSRs are actually bigger than other brand 33's -- but yeah, a body lift would be best for you. Perfromance Accessories kit # 883 is the one you want. I believe it's like 90 bucks. You will, however, need to make some brackets for the rear bumper. Good luck and WELCOME to the site!

If you have a solid rear axle and IFS trailmaster makes a kit. Its full 4 inches no blocks. But it is damn spendy. Its what I put on my 98.

the AWD system and 4x4 system are exactly the same except the transfercase is different.

Every explorer has a IFS front end and a solid rear -- except the 3rd gens. Trailmaster is no longer the "leader" in Explorer suspension lifts --- the torch has been passed down to Superlift!
