Sunny Cornwall? Well at least this shows that I have a sense of humour ;-)
Anyhoo, what a great source of info this site is.You guys seem to know what you are talking about. I have bought my first Explorer,R reg,V6,4ltr. It has had a lot of work done on it,including the timing chain/belt replaced etc. I really enjoy driving it.....when I can start it!
I understand that these immobilisers often give problems. My one button fob will lock/unlock the doors but the only way it will let me start the vehicle is by placing it right next to the reciever in the rear.Of course this means that I turn the key, jump out,run to the rear, and press the button. Not ideal! Yes,I have replaced the battery in the fob.
If any of you have any ideas that will help me solve this I would really appreciate your advice. Is there any of you down my way ( Fowey,Looe )?
Regards
Ian
