Newbie from Washington (state)

Today I will be picking up a 99 Explorer XL 4x2. This will my first Ford I have owned in my 55 years here. The vehicle has under 74,000 miles on it and is in very nice shape.inside and out. I'm looking forward to spending time on the board here to learn the ins and outs of what to expect of this vehicle as far as solving little quirks that may surface. Anyway, it's good to find this board so thanks for all your sharing of information here!

I want to thank you all for the welcome to the forum and I would like to also thankyou for the birthday greeting.

On another note: Since the fire and resulting damage to the Lincoln in a town not to far from Seattle a few weeks ago Ford has extended the recall for the infamous cruise control swich. Today I went to the dealer. The repair was completed in about 20 minutes. Thanks again for the info on this and other issues.
