Since i'm currently running the mud grapplers and i drive alot, i've decided to buy another set of tires for my stock 15x7 wheels. So far the mud grapplers are holding up great but i dont want to run them year round either. So ill be running the mud grapplers in the fall/winter season. I took my stock wheels, sanded them down and painted them flat black, gotta get some pics of those to show you guys. I ended up buying the nitto dune grapplers since i plan on doing alot of beach driving this summer. Got 2 so far and ordering the other 2 in a couple of weeks. I went with 31x10.50r15s. Tread pattern is crazy looking, cant wait to get them on the trac. I'll keep you guys updated.

Dune grapplers (these aren't on the truck yet, found a jeep around my area running them)

Not my rims, just showing a side shot of them

I'll take some more pics when i get the flat black stock wheels on those dune grapplers.

Dont ever remember seeing those before, Very Very Cool!!! I want a set!! Going out to put more water on the money tree that refuses to grow in the back yard. Those have to be pricey! Probably the coolest tread design I have ever seen.

Haha no where near as much as those mud grapplers were. Since they're 15s the price isnt too bad. I paid $157 for the dune grapplers, free shipping. I paid $257 for the mud grapplers, also free shipping. Discount tire direct, cheapest nitto tire prices and free shipping. Also another thing that im happy about is those mg's weigh 72lbs per tire and these dg's only weigh 45lbs per tire, now maybe ill be able to change out my tires myself. The mg's with the rims probably weigh damn near 120lbs each.

That is not bad. No 33x12.50x15 though. Jumping up into 16's drives the price up. 120lbs makes for a good workout every winter and spring. Havent driven the Ex in the winter for a few years now, so I havent swapped the wheels n tires out much. Dont miss it.

Yea i know not offering 33s in that tread pattern does suck cuz it is a cool looking tire. Yea the ST does haul em around them though moves like a turtle. Need 4.56s now.

Drive mine, you will find your "turtle" is a rabbit! 33's on 15x10 wheels, 4.slow OHV, and 3.73 gears make for a fabulously un-fast experience. Not complaining though, certainly didnt buy an Explorer V6 for speed! Hope to upgrade the gears one day. Until then, 13mpg and 0-60mph times in under 1 minute....

Agreed, mine is the exact same way. I'm not looking for speed either just looking to get outta the hole quicker.

Took some more pics with the stock wheels flat black

Yeah, the detail on those tires is ridic-

Not as big of a size difference as I was expecting, can't wait to see them on! What are you doing w/ your old wheels?

I'm keeping all of them i'm just rotating them out during the seasons. Mud grapplers fall/winter and dune grapplers spring/summer. I drive alot so i dont wanna wear out my mud grapplers. Yea i was surprised in the difference between 33s ans 31s but a much bigger difference between 13.50 and 10.50.

Great looking tire Brent. Interested in hearing how u like them after a few thousand. And man oh man, I am wanting to get those Mud Grappler's in 13.50!! Not many tires available at all in that size.

Yea i'm putting the dune grapplers on in a couple of weeks before OBX bound. I love my mud grapplers, especially the humm they put out and even at highway speeds. Even if you let off the gas around 20 or 30mph theyre louder than anything else engine, exhaust. Yea the 13.50 is only available through Nitto and Toyo and maybe even Interco. I want the 35x14.50s but theres no way i'd be able to turn the wheels.

They're really good at catching spam on this forum. Every time I get an update in my email about it and come here, it's already gone. I was really hoping to check out that escort service. lol.

i love the mud grappler extremes, ive run them before and their even decently priced, now that the trucks being rebuilt again... DAMN!!!! the 40's i bought in the mud grappler extreme's were 500 a pop... but i really like them and they work amazingly and last a long time
