Tips: When/if changing the rear tensioner, put some grease on the metal gasket to keep it centered where it needs to be on the tensioner. if it slips out of place, you'll end up with a massive oil leak. It also requires a torque wrench (read below). I don't recall if the 00M12 kit includes the rear tensioner. The best access to it is through the passenger side front wheel well.

If I remember correctly, there were 2 different styles of front tensioner used. They function the same, but look different. The front one can be a bit hard to change, requiring a large deep socket and possible removal of the top of the thermostat housing for access. You'll also need a torque wrench (which you can borrow at most auto parts stores with a deposit, or buy).

If you're not a fairly adept shade-tree mechanic, I'd suggest you do some research (search this forum) for what it takes to do this job. It's not terribly difficult, but I don't know what your skill level is. I'd rate this job at maybe a 5 on a scale of 1-10.

As J C suggested, you may want to remove the serpentine belt and run the engine for a minute to make sure that the noise isn't a bad bearing in something in the accessory drive. We don't know what you're actually hearing.
