Newbie needs help with mods

Hi guys!
I have discovered that my explorer doesnt pick up as fast as i would like it to. Can anyone suggest what type of modifications i can put on it to make it pick up faster?

are you looking for just instant throttle response? do a search for the throttle cable mod

is it in good tune? plugs, wires, try switching to synthetic oils, what about a shift kit?
