Newbie needs more power

Hi guys and gals,

My father has a 96 ranger that won't get out of it's own way. Is there anything you can do to these little engines (4 cyl I think it is a 2.3) to get more power?

You could start with the standard air intake, exhaust, chip and gain an honest 30 hp or so. Then you start getting into thing like a supercharger
