Just purchased a 2014 Ford Explorer limited with adaptive cruise control. I am getting ready to put a Blue OX base plate on it so I can tow it behind a motor home.
One thing puzzles me: on the passenger side bumper, the is a pop out circle about 1.5 inches in diameter. Behind it, I can see a threaded adapter - what is it for? I hope it is not going to be in the way when I take the fascia off to mount the base plate.
