Hey All!

Just picked up my 94 explorer w/163,000mi for $800...vehicle has alot of recent repairs (ujoints, ballpoints, tierods, wheel bearings repacked, radiator, etc) and runs like a champ! Unfortunately I have 2 issues that I need some help in where I should start diagnoising..

1 - AC...It blows cool, but not cold. Maybe 5-8 degrees cooler then outside air. It blows at the different speed settings..but just not very cold. Hot works great. Tried recharging the system yesterday, but as I was charging it I could see the pressure falling shortly after I refilled it. Where should I start diagnoising this?

2 - Alignment. Previous owner did tierods/balljoints by himself however the steering wheel isnt centered. Alignment is fine..when I let the steering wheel it goes straight..just the wheel isnt straight. How do I go about adjusting this myself?

Thanks all! I look forward to talking to everybody!

For the A/C, sounds like you have a leak. I'd start with checking the o-rings throughout the system, making sure it's all sealed off. I'd try to find a mechanic who does work on the side, he could probably do it cheaper and better. So look into that.

For the steering wheel, from what I know, they'll have to redo the alignment the steering wheel centered. An alignment shop should be able to fix this, I had the same issue, they weren't centering the wheel when they did the alignment.
