Newbie with a couple inquiries

Hi! I'm new to EF. Just got an 02 Explorer Sport, Manual Tranny. Looking to do a couple of mods. I recently added clear corner lights. Plan on adding a front grille guard, tail light guards, fender effects and of course, a new sound system. I kinda have to be careful about the sound system, as I have a great dane and leave the back seat down so she can lay down and relax (trust me, keep her happy, keep me happy in return.)

I am a little frustrated about the center console area. Has anyone added a shorter shift on the manual transmission. I have a SH Prelude that we have done this to also and love the effects.

The x was purchased without the center console bad and I picked one up on ebay last night for $40.00. Not too bad considering what the dealership wanted. I was wondering if anyone had incorporated their Ipod into their center console. Haven't seen anyone's pics showing that, so I thought I would ask.

Also, I was wondering about alarms and aftermarket remote keyless entry. I only got one key from the dealership, but they did give me the key code. Is it easier to pick up an OEM keyless entry package and install it, or start anew?

It would be best to install an aftermarket alarm system with keyless entry. Much better protection and many more different sensor options.

I do remember seeing a thread that someone had posted on installing an ipod into the center console, had pics and everything.

Thanks but that may a just a little to intailed for me. Also, I have a manual tranny so I don't have that much space.
